The Perfect Day to Have Your Wedding
Posted on August 20, 2016 in Wedding tips
Is there an absolutely best day to have your upcoming wedding?
As a Dallas wedding photographer, we would say that there is a best day for each bride to have their wedding, but the same day will not be best for every bride. The day that will be best for you and your groom to walk down the aisle will depend on your goals and priorities.
The Cheapest Day
Saturday is and will always be the most expensive day of the week to have a wedding, while midweek ceremonies will always be cheaper. Mid week weddings also allow for you guests to take advantage of cheaper flights. You will also find this to be an advantage when you are shopping for flights for your honeymoon. Venues, florists, caterers, DJs and other vendors will often have lower rates or be willing to negotiate their rates for weddings that are held during the week. Friday night or Sunday morning weddings can be just as formal or elegant and you will save some of the money that it takes to secure a prime venue on a Saturday night.
A Date with Meaning
Some couples will choose a significant date as their wedding day. As a Dallas Wedding photographer we have been able to shoot many weddings taking place on meaningful dates. Some of these special days have been, a parent’s wedding day, the day the couple met or first went on a date, or a holiday the couple loves. Halloween or the 4th of July may not be your perfect day to have a wedding, but there are some brides who have dreamed of having their wedding on that day because it is significant to them.
Some couples are so excited, or just so ready, to get married that they will get married on any day. They will spend more or change their idea of the perfect venue to have their wedding on the soonest date possible. It is completely up to you and your groom to decide what your priorities will be.
One thing that we love as a Fort Worth wedding photographer is to see the beautiful variety of each bride’s wedding choices. We can not say it enough times that there is not right or wrong in wedding planning. You do what will best represent you and your groom and the marriage you are beginning, and we will be there to capture it.
